UPDATE 04/06/2026 Office's WILL be open and operational today.

Rabun County Tax Assessor, Tax Commissioner, Planning & Zoning, and the Marshal’s Office will be closed until further notice due to lightning striking the building.

If internet is restored by tomorrow, these offices will operate on a delayed opening.

Tag renewals and property tax payments can still be completed online at RabunCountyTax.com during this time.

Rabun County is seeking a dependable and hardworking individual to help maintain the Rabun County Arena and assist during events.
Job Duties Include:
✅ Cleaning horse stalls
✅ Cutting grass and maintaining arena grounds
✅ Operating tractor and equipment
✅ Cleaning restrooms and arena facilities
✅ Assisting with event setup and cleanup
✅ General maintenance as needed

Applicants must be able to lift a minimum of 60 pounds.

📣 Town Hall Meeting – Public Meeting

The Rabun County Board of Commissioners will host a Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday, February 17 at 5:30 p.m. at the Rabun County Civic Center.

Join us for a panel-style discussion featuring members of the County Commission, Environmental Health, the County Attorney’s Office, the Tax Assessor’s Office, the Planning & Zoning Board, and the Marshal’s Office.

This meeting is an opportunity for the public to learn what each department and board does, why their roles are important, and how county ordinances and procedures are applied.
Questions will be taken from the audience. Those wishing to speak will be asked to step up to the microphone, and time will be provided for the panel to respond.

All Rabun County recycle centers are open today except Charlie Mountain, which will not open today.
