Clayton’s Labor Day fireworks celebration was a great success—food, fun, and fireworks made for a great time for all! A huge thank you to the Clayton Parks Commission and city staff for organizing and orchestrating the event. Check out future Clayton events at the city’s website under “Community Events.”

This Sunday: Labor Day Fireworks & Festival!

The countdown continues! Join us this Sunday, September 6, at Meadowbrook at Clayton for an evening of family fun and fireworks as we celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary!

🎉 Festival begins at 7:00 p.m.
🎆 Fireworks begin at 9:00 p.m.

Enjoy music by DJ Willie, refreshments, face painting, balloon artist, an obstacle course, and a spectacular fireworks finale!

Bring your blankets or lawn chairs, gather your family and friends, and come spend the evening with your Clayton neighbors.

We’ll see you Sunday at Meadowbrook!

Clayton’s Residential Zoning Review Special Committee will be meeting this Thursday, August 13th, at 7:00pm at the city administration building. We will be discussing the city’s future land use plan as described in PLAN Clayton. (See image, along with current land use image for comparison). Members will be sharing their perspectives on proposed changes/updates to the plan.

Committee meetings are open to the public and attendance is highly encouraged. Time will be provided for public comment/inputs towards the end of the meeting. This is the meeting to attend to get your opinions and/or concerns expressed on future land use planning as changes to the plan are considered. See you there!

My first proclamation as the Mayor of Clayton was recognizing America’s 250th anniversary of becoming a nation. I’m honored I was able to do this, the timing worked out well.

The United States is a great nation, yet far from perfect. While our country gets a lot right, we still have our challenges… and we have the freedom and liberty to pursue overcoming them.

All the best to you and our great nation as we celebrate our 250th Independence Day.

The next meeting of the Residential Zoning Review Committee will meet tonight (June 11) at 7:00pm in the Clayton administration building.

This will be our second meeting and we will discuss committee observations from personal review of city planning documents. We will also discuss RSD zoning-history, background, and current application. The public is welcome to attend and will have the opportunity to make comments.
