On February 18, 2022 members of the Altoona Police Department were dispatched to the 1600 block of 20th Avenue in the City of Altoona, for an unresponsive male who was not breathing. The male was found to be deceased and officers found he**in and drug paraphernalia, indicating overdose as a possible cause of death. A drug overdose was later confirmed by an autopsy.
Officers began an investigation into the death and identified Eldon “Farmer” Sajko of Penn Run, PA as a possible source of the he**in.
During the course of the investigation, officers confirmed Sajko was the source of the he**in and identified Brian Davenport of Blairsville, PA as one of Sajko’s sources for he**in. Officers were able to link several deliveries of he**in between Davenport, Sajko and the deceased male prior to his death.
Based on the investigation, Blair County District Attorney Peter Weeks approved charges of Drug Delivery Resulting in Death, Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Criminal Use of a Communication Facility and Criminal Conspiracy for Davenport and Sajko.
On September 8, 2022 members of the Altoona Police Department and Blair County District Attorney’s Detectives met with members of the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General and Indiana County Drug Task Force in Indiana County, PA. Sajko was eventually arrested at his residence and transported back to Blair County for arraignment. Bail was set at $500,000.00 and Sajko was lodged in Blair County Prison. Davenport is currently incarcerated in SCI Chester on unrelated charges. Davenport will be video arraigned by MDJ Benjamin Jones at a later time.
