🚨 TOWN OF CLAY CITY – BOIL WATER ADVISORY 🚨

June 16, 2026

Due to a water main repair, the Town of Clay City water system is under a Boil Water Advisory for the next 48 hours.

Residents may experience low water pressure or a temporary disruption in water service while repairs are being completed and the system is restored.

During the advisory, residents are encouraged to bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute before using it for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, making ice, or preparing food.

We will continue to provide updates on this page as they become available. Please check back for the latest information regarding the status of the advisory.

The Town of Clay City would like to extend a huge thank you to B&T Drainage for responding quickly and assisting Water Operator Randi Staley with the repair. Your support and willingness to help our community is greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to restore normal service.

πŸ“’ Town of Clay City – Friendly Reminders πŸ“’

As the weather warms up and everyone is enjoying summer, here are a few important reminders to help keep our community safe, clean, and welcoming.

🐾 Leash Laws Are Still a Thing
We love our four-legged residents, but not everyone loves surprise visits from roaming dogs. Please keep pets leashed, fenced, or safely contained on your property. Dogs running at large create safety concerns for neighbors, children, and drivers.

🌱 Grass Waits for No One
The rain and sunshine have kicked lawns and weeds into high gear. Please keep grass mowed, weeds trimmed, and sidewalks clear and maintained. A well-kept property helps keep our town looking its best and shows pride in our community.

πŸš— Parking Matters
We have received multiple complaints regarding vehicles parked at intersections, in no-parking zones, and partially blocking streets or rights-of-way. Vehicles creating obstructions on town property or public rights-of-way may be subject to towing at the owner's expense. Please park responsibly and be mindful of visibility and access for others.

πŸ’§ Water Service Disconnect Notices
Water service shutoffs will be taking place this week. If you have received a disconnect notice, please contact the Town Hall office immediately to make payment arrangements. If your account remains unpaid and we have not heard from you, service will be disconnected.

🏑 Being a Good Neighbor Goes a Long Way
Thank you to everyone who follows town ordinances and takes pride in their property. Positive growth doesn't happen overnight, but through consistent effort, accountability, and community involvement, we can continue making Clay City a town we're proud to call home.

We appreciate your cooperation and commitment to keeping Clay City safe, clean, and moving forward. Together, we're building a stronger communityβ€”one good decision at a time.

πŸš” Friendly Reminder from Your Local Police Department πŸš”

Attention, residents! We've noticed a few vehicles around town that appear to be auditioning for a role in a post-apocalyptic movie. While we appreciate the creativity, we'd like to remind everyone to help keep our community looking its best.

If you have a junk, abandoned, or inoperable vehicle on your property, please consider cleaning it up, fixing it up, or making arrangements to have it removed. Not only does it improve the appearance of our neighborhoods, but it also helps keep our town safe, clean, and welcoming.

Now, we know not every vehicle sitting in a yard is junk. Maybe it's your kid's first project car. Maybe it's your pride and joy that you're planning to restore someday. We get itβ€”and we're happy to work with you. If it's going to stay parked for a while, put a little pride around it. Mow the grass, clean up around it, and help it look like a project in progress rather than a relic from the zombie apocalypse.

Let's work together to keep our community looking great!

And remember: if your car has more weeds growing through it than grass around it, it might be time. πŸ˜„πŸš—
