We are pleased to announce that Chief Deputy Kreighton Baxter has been appointed to the Nebraska Domestic Abuse Death Review Team (DADRT).
The Nebraska Domestic Abuse Death Review Team, which is coordinated through the Nebraska Attorney General's Office, is a multidisciplinary group that reviews domestic abuse related deaths across the state. 🚨🚨🔥👨‍🚒 Ok folks, just as a reminder. There is ZERO Tolerance for open burning of trash, yard debris, etc until April 10th when the Executive Order, put in place by the State of Nebraska, is set to expire. You will receive a fine for intentional burning at any point during the Statewide burn ban.

We have assisted with 2 calls tonight of illegal burning. We know the wind died down, but it is gonna wreak havoc tomorrow. Regardless, if you do not have a legal burn permit, in which you cannot obtain currently, you are illegally burning. Please help us help you and our communities by sharing this word with those that may not have social media.

We’ve received several inquiries into the police presence in Harvard earlier this afternoon. While we cannot comment on the details of the case, we can assure the community that there was not and is not an active threat to the public. This was a multiagency investigation involving the Tri-Cities Drug Enforcement Team (Trident) that we are not lead on, but were asked to assist with.

What an incredible honor! Thank you to our great partners with EnCourage Advocacy Center. Your dedication to victim advocacy doesn’t go unnoticed.

We've started a new quarterly Community Partner enCouragement Program. Once a quarter, enCourage Advocacy Center staff will select an outstanding Nonprofit Community Partner who has supported Domestic Abuse and Sexual Assault Survivors with their services and resources in our 4-county service area. The quarterly winning nonprofit will receive a coffee order for their office from Daily Dose Coffee in Hastings.
The 2026 Q1 Community Partner enCourage staff has chosen to recognize the Clay County Sheriff's Office for their outstanding dedication to supporting survivors of violence.
