Last week, Mrs. Edwards' science class learned about forces, pushes, and pulls and how they can make objects move or change direction. Students put their knowledge to the test by designing and building a bridge using only paper and books. They then tested their bridges by seeing how many pennies they could hold. Students had fun designing, testing, and improving their bridges like real engineers!

Math is so much more fun with friends. Mrs. Payne’s 2nd grade class synergized during math core this week, practicing doubles and doubles plus one. They checked their work by using strategies like counting on, making tens frames, drawing pictures, and using 100s charts.

Yesterday, Ms. Brownell's science classes learned all about force—pushes and pulls—by creating their very own Hopper Poppers!
Students tested how different pushes changed how far their poppers could jump, made predictions, and had a LOT of fun learning through trial and error!

Little Bo Peep lost her sheep, and Mrs. Knitter's class had to help her find them! They are wrapping up their nursery rhyme unit in kindergarten this week, and Bo Peep is always a fan favorite. It was a fun way to get up and moving while practicing letter recognition and writing!
