34 students from USD 379 enrolled in driver’s education this summer.
There were a variety of guest speakers during the classroom portion of driver’s ed, including Justin Ricketts from Glavan Ford, TJ from KansasLand, and Trooper Tod from the Kansas Highway Patrol. Thank you for sharing your wisdom with our class!
Students spent roughly 20 hours learning about best driving practices and talking through real life scenarios.
A HUGE thank you to Mrs. Denise Beutler for working into retirement to assist with the driver’s ed classroom sessions! Mrs. Beutler is a wellspring of knowledge and care.
Students are on the road until June 19th. Congratulations, drivers, for this meaningful step toward adulthood!

Earlier this week, Laurel Affolter and Tricia Reichert presented at the Kansas State Counselors Association Conference about their interventionist roles as Freshman and Sophomore Success Academy Coordinators. After reviewing data collected over the past 7 years, graduation rates that left some counselors in disbelief, and the way the programs have evolved over time, CCCHS was praised for its successful and innovative model of targeted support at the secondary level!
