4th Road between Indian - Jayhawk will be closed today. We are hoping to have it back open by 4:00 pm.

Road improvement work in Clay County is scheduled to begin this week.

Drivers should expect daytime road closures and delays within active work zones as crews work from north to south throughout the project area. Roads are expected to reopen overnight following daily operations.

Affected areas include:
• Gas City Rd from K-9 to 28th Rd
• 28th Rd from Gas City Rd to Jayhawk Rd
• Jayhawk Rd south toward Morganville
• 24th Rd southwest of Morganville near the Republican River

Please slow down, plan ahead, and use caution near active work zones while crews and equipment are on site.

Project updates and progress information will continue to be shared throughout the project.

Due to the high possibility of severe weather this afternoon. Our office (and all other Clay County offices) will be closing at 2:00 pm today. Please stay aware and be safe!!!

The news that everyone has been waiting for.....the bridge North of Green (Utah 26-27) is now back open. A few things need to be noted:

1st: Next week sometime we will have traffic control out there as we will have to put the guardrail back up.....so please be patient and kind. This shouldn't take long.

2nd: The approach to the bridge is kind of rough. It will be this way until our asphalt project is done. So PLEASE pay attention to the SLOW signs that we will be putting up...they are there for a reason.

Effective 5/5/2026: Redwood Road from Broughton Road to 9th Road we will be doing an edging project. We will have flaggers on the roadway, so please be prepared for delays.

Starting 5/5/2026: Utah Road from 20-21 will be closed during our business in order to prepare this section of the road for asphalting. It will reopen each day around 3:30 pm.
