As we look back on another fantastic Fourth of July, we'd like to thank everyone who came out to celebrate and helped make it a safe and enjoyable holiday.

From the parade and our annual Water Battle to the fireworks and neighborhood celebrations, it was great to see our community come together once again.

A special thank you to the Clawson Police Department for everything they do to help keep our events and community safe throughout the holiday. Thanks to the Clawson DPW for all the behind the scene work for prepping and supporting the celebration. We'd also like to thank the Troy Fire Department Troy Mich. for another fun and friendly Water Battle and helping us out during the fireworks detail. ⚠️ Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Clawson

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for our area.

If you're attending the Clawson 4th of July Celebration, please pay close attention to the weather and follow directions from event organizers and public safety personnel. If asked to seek shelter or leave the area, do so promptly. Those decisions are made with everyone's safety in mind.

Strong winds, dangerous lightning, heavy rain, and hail are all possible with this storm. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you're close enough to be struck by lightning.
Please avoid standing under trees or remaining in open areas. Seek shelter in a substantial building or your vehicle if conditions deteriorate.

We'll continue to monitor the weather and respond to emergencies as needed. Stay safe, look out for one another, and keep an eye on official weather updates

🌡️ With the extreme heat, there's an increased chance of power outages. If you lose power and use a generator, please do so safely!

⚠️ Never operate a generator inside your home, garage, basement, or enclosed porch—even if doors or windows are open. Generators produce carbon monoxide (CO), an invisible, odorless gas that can become deadly in minutes.

✅ Place generators at least 20 feet away from your home, with the exhaust pointed away from doors, windows, and vents.

🔋 Make sure your carbon monoxide alarms and smoke alarms have fresh batteries and are working properly. If your CO alarm sounds, get everyone outside immediately and call 911 from a safe location.

💧 Stay hydrated, avoid prolonged time outdoors during the hottest part of the day, and check on family members and neighbors who may be more vulnerable to the heat.
Stay cool, stay safe, and we hope everyone gets through the heat with minimal interruptions.

🚒 Our Youngest Mack Rider Yet! 🚒

This past Friday, we had a very special passenger join us… our youngest Mack Ride rider ever at just 3 weeks old! 👶💛

It’s always great seeing generations of families take part in this Clawson tradition, but this one definitely stands out as a first for us!

A big thank you to mom for sharing this special moment with us and allowing us to be part of such a memorable first experience for the family.

We look forward to seeing this little one out riding with us again in the years ahead! 🚒🇺🇸

🚒 That's a Wrap on Mack Rides 2026! 🚒

Another year of Mack Rides is in the books, and we want to send a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who came out to wave, ride, and spend some time with us! Seeing so many smiling faces throughout the community is what makes this tradition so special.

If we missed you this year, we're sorry! We hope we'll have the opportunity to see you next time.

Most importantly, we'd like to recognize the firefighters who volunteered their own personal time to make Mack Rides possible. These members gave up evenings and weekends away from their families to help create lasting memories for the children and families of Clawson. Their dedication to serving this community extends far beyond emergency calls, and we're incredibly grateful for their commitment.

Thank you, Clawson, for another fantastic year. We hope everyone has a safe and happy Fourth of July, and we look forward to seeing you again next summer! 🇺🇸🚒

🎆 Fireworks Season is Here – Celebrate Safely, Clawson! 🇺🇸🚒

As we get ready to celebrate Independence Day, please remember that Michigan law allows consumer fireworks to be used June 29 through July 4 from 11:00 a.m. until 11:45 p.m.

✅ Fireworks must be used on your own private property or on private property where you have the owner's permission.

❌ Fireworks are not permitted on streets, sidewalks, parks, school property, church property, or any other property without permission.
If you're celebrating at home, help keep your family, neighbors, and first responders safe by following these simple tips:

🎇 Keep a bucket of water or a garden hose nearby.
🎇 Light only one firework at a time.
🎇 Never attempt to relight a firework that doesn't ignite. 🎇 Never allow young children to handle fireworks—even sparklers can burn at nearly 2,000°F.
🎇 Never use fireworks while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
🎇 Be considerate of your neighbors, veterans, pets, and anyone who may be sensitive to loud noises.
🎇 Soak all used fireworks in water before placing them in the trash.

The safest way to enjoy fireworks is by attending a professional display, but if you choose to celebrate at home, please do so responsibly.

From all of us at the Clawson Fire Department, have a safe, fun, and happy Fourth of July! 🇺🇸

We finished the planned area today, and are looking to finish up the last area tomorrow evening starting around 6pm.
