Today we had some special helpers at the station! 🚒🧽

A huge thank you to the scouts from Cub Scouts Pack 1095 for stopping by and helping wash our fire trucks as part of their community service efforts. The scouts worked hard, had great attitudes, and did an awesome job making the rigs shine.

We always appreciate seeing young members of our community giving back and learning the value of service. Thank you, Pack 1095, for your hard work and support of the fire department!

🚨 Storm Update🚨

While our area was fortunate to avoid the more severe storms that impacted surrounding communities, we did experience some localized damage.

Earlier today, crews responded to a broken utility pole caused by high winds after the transformer caught on fire and burned through the pole. Situations like this are a good reminder that even less intense storms can still create hazardous conditions.

⚠️ Please continue to use caution around: • Downed or damaged power lines
• Leaning or compromised utility poles
• Debris in roadways

If you encounter a hazard, do not approach it—report it to the appropriate authorities.

We’re grateful the impact wasn’t worse and appreciate everyone’s awareness and cooperation. Stay safe, Clawson!

⚠️ High Wind Advisory – Stay Safe Today🌬️

Strong winds are expected throughout the day across our area, with gusts that could bring down tree limbs, power lines, and unsecured outdoor items.

The Clawson Fire Department encourages residents to take a few simple precautions:
• Secure or bring in loose outdoor items like patio furniture, trash cans, and decorations
• Use caution when driving, especially near large trees or utility lines
• Stay clear of any downed power lines and report them immediately
• Be prepared for the possibility of scattered power outages

If you encounter a downed power line, stay away and call 911. Always assume the line is energized.

Our crews are on duty and ready to respond if needed. Stay safe, Clawson!

This afternoon, members of the Clawson Fire Department and their families joined the Clawson Police Department for the Special Olympics Michigan Polar Plunge.

Together, they raised more than $2,500 to support Special Olympics Michigan — funding year-round training, competition, and leadership programs that empower athletes across our state.

We’re proud to support such an incredible organization and an even more incredible group of athletes. Thank you to everyone who donated and cheered us on!

🚒 Snowy Weather Reminder🚒

As snow piles up, please help keep our community safe by clearing at least 3 feet of snow around fire hydrants near your home or business.

In an emergency, firefighters need quick, unobstructed access. A few minutes with a shovel can make a life-saving difference.

Thank you for doing your part to help us help Clawson! ❄️🔥

🎉 Happy New Year from the Clawson Fire Department! 🎉

It’s officially 2026, which means new calendars, questionable resolutions, and at least one person already asking what day it is. Before things get too weird, we want to thank our community for another year of support, kindness, and looking out for each other.

As you ring in the New Year, please celebrate safely. Plan a sober ride home, and remember that candles, space heaters, and Christmas trees don’t always play nicely together.

Here’s to a safe, healthy, and hopefully less eventful New Year for Clawson. We’re proud to serve you in 2026. 🚒✨

⚠️ High Wind Advisory Reminder ⚠️

Strong winds continue across our area today into the evening. With high winds comes a higher risk of downed trees and downed power lines.

Please remember: • Never touch or approach a downed power line — even if it looks harmless
• Assume all lines are live and dangerous
• Keep kids and pets well away
• If you see a downed line or hazardous conditions, call 911 and let us secure the area.

A power line doesn’t need to be sparking to be deadly. Give it space and let trained crews handle it. Stay alert, stay warm, and stay safe, Clawson. 🌬️🚒
