We have a small dog in our kennels that is ready for adoption. She is really skidish right now, she does a lot of hiding. The city guys are working with her daily, she is getting better but needs a loving home. She was found at Cefco and just looked lost. She is somewhere around a year, maybe just a bit older. We think she has some kind of terrier in her, hard to tell. We will hold her for the next week, after that we will have to put her down. Please share this post to everyone that might be interested in helping this little one get a good home.

Now that the warm weather is upon us, we want to remind everyone that we have changed the ordinance for golf carts. It now states for a child to drive a golf cart without a parent, you must be at least 15 with a drivers permit. Please keep your children safe and abide by the ordinance.

The city has 8 adorable puppies that need forever homes. These are Lab/Aussie mix, we believe. The best best we can tell, they are 8-12 weeks old. We have 5 female and 3 male. 2 male are solid black, 1 black and white. All female are black and white. Great personality and very playful. The cost for adoption will be the cost of vaccines only. Please call city hall at 806-337-0388 if interested. We can give you more information then as well.

Maverick is out in the city going door to door again. They do not have a permit though they are telling people they have a permit good for a year. I can assure you, that's not the case. Our solicitation permits are never for a year and this company has refused to get permits.

The city has a large water leak at 12th and 207. If you live between 11th and 12th, Hoffer and 207, you may experience some water disruption while the leak is being fixed. We apologize for any inconvenience and will get it fixed as soon as possible.

Though the power is out, city hall is still open but with limited service. The city outage has been reported and crews will be out shortly to get us back up.

TxDOT will be closing 207, in town, from 8:30am. It is scheduled to reopen at 4:30pm but they will get it open sooner if possible. The city guys will be out there working as well. Please be careful when going around the closed area, lives depend on it.
