After hearing from parents and caregivers of older elementary and early middle school-age children, we are temporarily revising the public pool rule regarding youth supervision.

The rule will now recommend—rather than require—that children younger than 14 be accompanied by adults at general-use public swimming pools during open swim periods.

This fall, we will hear input from parents, caregivers, public pool operators, lifeguards, regulators and other interested parties to inform a decision about making that rule permanent or adopting a different rule.

The recent change has been moved to a temporary recommendation.

The time has come! ☀️

PLEASE READ:

The office will be open for lessons sign ups and registrations on Monday June 15th at:
9:00am - 12:00 pm
4:00pm - 6:00 pm
This is for registrations only, the pool will not be open for swims during these times.

Open Swim June 15th-18th
1:30pm - 3:30 pm
7:00pm - 9:00 pm

June 19th ONLY 7:00pm - 9:00pm

Please remember the new OHA supervision changes.

The regular schedule will begin on June 22nd.

Please utilize the scheduled office time on Monday for lessons sign ups if possible. There will be less office staff during the open swim and your wait time for registration will be longer.

Hello~
As we head into the summer months and the increased usage of the park, we would like to take a minute to remind everyone that harassing the wildlife (ducks, geese, etc.) is illegal:
In Oregon, ORS 498.006 makes it illegal to chase, harass, mo**st, worry, or disturb wildlife unless you are doing so lawfully while angling for, taking, hunting, or trapping that wildlife. .
Key points of ORS 498.006
• Prohibited acts: Chasing, harassing, mo**sting, worrying, or disturbing wildlife.

The annual Heritage Days kick off will be on Saturday, June 27th with the Car Show, Open Swim at the pool in the afternoon and then a Movie in the Park that night!!
