Most folk know Lorie, as she was the County Clerk for many years. She retired in 2014, and came back to the Clerk's Office in 2023 as the Probate Clerk.

It was such a wonderful surprise and an absolute honor to receive this beautiful framed “Special Thanks” from the Texas Secretary of State at the 44th Annual Election Law Seminar.

Red River County was recognized for our generous contribution of ballot boxes for the RLA Skills Lab, which gives election officials across Texas the opportunity to gain the hands-on practice and experience they need to effectively serve their voters.

As an election official, I know how much work goes on behind the scenes to make sure elections are conducted accurately, securely, and with integrity. To have that work—and our county’s willingness to help other election officials—recognized in this way truly means so much.

I am incredibly proud to serve Red River County and even more proud to be part of a profession where we can learn from one another, support one another, and work together to strengthen elections across Texas.

Thank you to the Texas Secretary of State for this thoughtful recognition. I will proudly display it as a reminder of the importance of the work we do and the people we serve. ❤️

🗳️🔒 Election Security Starts with Accurate Voter Records!

📬 The Red River County Clerk’s Office is mailing voter registration correction notices to some voters as part of our ongoing commitment to election security and maintaining accurate voter registration records.

You may receive a notice if:
🪪 Your voter registration is missing your Texas Driver License number or the last 4 digits of your Social Security number.

✅ Keeping voter records accurate helps:
🔹 Protect the integrity of our elections
🔹 Ensure voter information is up to date
🔹 Maintain accurate voter rolls

✉️ If you receive a correction notice, please complete it and return it to the Red River County Clerk’s Office as soon as possible. Your quick response helps us keep Red River County’s voter registration records secure and accurate.
