We hope you will join us at our annual 9/11 Ceremony as we commemorate the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

We will honor the lives lost on that fateful day, as well as pay tribute to the Clarksville Fire Rescue firefighters who gave their lives in service to our community.

Road closures: Franklin Street from Hooker's Funeral Home (723 Franklin Street) to 9th Street and 8th Street from Main Street to Franklin Street will be closed from 7:30 a.m. to approximately 10 a.m.

Recruit Class 01-26 had their second-to-last FPAT before graduation today, and Chief Montgomery jumped in on the action.

He posted a time of 4:14, which is 50 seconds faster than the CFR average. And not to mention, he did it in Class A pants and combat boots.๐Ÿ‘€

Safe to say Chiefโ€™s still got it.๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿšจ

Congratulations to Lieutenant Willie Sims III on his retirement!๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿš’

Lt. Sims finished his final shift with Clarksville Fire Rescue this morning after more than 24 years of service. He joined CFR in February 2002 and served as an EMR and Squad Alternate before being promoted to Lieutenant in January 2023.

Lt. Sims followed in the footsteps of his father, who served with CFR from 1967 to 1987 and sadly passed away in 2004.

Weโ€™re grateful for Willieโ€™s years of service to our department and our community. We wish him all the best in retirement, and we hope there are plenty of Florida days in his future!โ˜€๏ธ๐ŸŒด

It was a busy day in District 3 territory yesterday!

Around 12:30 p.m., crews were dispatched to a reported structure fire on Lynnwood Drive. Upon arrival, Station 9 units confirmed smoke showing from a mobile home. Crews forced entry and initiated an interior attack. The fire was quickly knocked down, and crews checked the home for any extension. No extension was found. Primary and secondary searches were all clear, and the home was ventilated until Squad 1 confirmed the air quality was safe.

No one was home at the time of the fire, and there were no injuries. The American Red Cross was called to assist the two displaced adults. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Responding Units: Ladder 9, Rescue 9, Engine 8, District Chief 3, Tower 12, Squad 1, Ops 2, Battalion Chief 2

Then, around 2:30 p.m., crews were dispatched to a reported structure fire on Sumac Court. Upon arrival, Engine 2 confirmed light smoke showing from a pop-up camper in the driveway. There was also heat damage to the siding on the home directly above the camper. Engine 2 pulled a line and sprayed down the camper and siding, and crews opened the garage and entered the attic to check for extension. No extension was found.

All occupants were out of the home upon arrival, and there were no injuries. We did, however, spot one very good boy on scene who seemed pretty happy to see the firefighters.
