We would like to give a huge thank you to the Montgomery County Fire Service for providing two new apparatus to Station 18’s district. This pumper-tanker, plus the tanker pictured in our cover photo (also shown below) each carry 3,000 gallons of water and will be major assets to our district and the surrounding areas.

Our hearts are heavy today.

The Tennessee Professional Firefighters Association joins many others in extending our deepest thoughts and prayers to the Bristol TN Professional Firefighters Association Local 3227 and the Bristol Fire Department on the tragic line-of-duty death of one of their own.

We ask everyone to keep the firefighter’s family, friends, and the entire Bristol fire service community in your thoughts and prayers in the difficult days ahead.

Congratulations to the following Montgomery County Fire Service firefighters for recently challenging and earning the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) State Certifications.

IFSAC is a self-governing system that manages fire service certification programs and fire-related degree programs. The IFSAC Certificate Assembly accredits organizations that certify individuals based on National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards. The IFSAC Degree Assembly focuses on accrediting fire and emergency-related academic programs at colleges and universities.
