On Wednesday, we held a formal graduation ceremony for Seniors Bri and DeShae before sending them off to compete at the Track & Field State Championships.

It was a special moment as their peers, teachers, and families cheered them on as they exited The Castle for the final time as students!

It may be the last week of school, but our students *continue* to achieve!

A/V Production II students Juan Santiago, Damarion Mays, and Djedefre Jeter successfully passed the Adobe Premiere Pro Certification Exam, earning an ✨industry-recognized credential✨ in professional video editing and post-production!

These students will be able to take this achievement and put it toward a future career in media, broadcasting, or content creation.

Mr. Rye is extremely proud of their hard work, dedication and resilience in order to reach this milestone.

📊Adding up the Wins📊

Congratulations to the KHS Math Team — Statistics — on placing 3rd in the Annual TMTA Statewide High School Mathematics Contest hosted by APSU!

✨Competition Highlights✨

🥉Our team placed 3rd out of 9 schools in the district
🌟Junior Zachary Carpenter scored the highest on the team and 3rd out of the 46 students that competed

🏅State top TEN🏅

10 events, 1,000 emotions, 1 top ten. We want to congratulate Senior Jeremiah Buckner on placing 7th in the TSSAA State Decathlon!

The decathlon consists of 10 events across two days: 100m, long jump, shot put, high jump, 400m, 110m hurdles, discus, pole vault, javelin, and 1500m.

This is a grueling, all-around, and comprehensive event. Way to leave it all out there and finish amongst the best in the state, Jeremiah. We’re so proud of you! 🏰
