We have been investing in our parks and green spaces during my time on the Commission and as Chair of the Parks Committee. Here's one of several examples. 👇

The Clarksville-Montgomery County School Board voted Tuesday to approve the transfer of Stokes Park to Montgomery County, clearing the final hurdle in a years-long effort to rebuild and reopen the neglected athletic complex at New Providence Middle School.

Juneteenth is an important reminder of our nation’s history, the long road toward equality, and the responsibility we all share to keep working toward a community where every person is valued, respected, and heard.

I was proud to be part of the Montgomery County Commission that voted to make Juneteenth an official county holiday. It was the right thing to do, and I’m thankful our county chose to recognize the significance of this day.

May we use today not only to celebrate freedom, but to listen, learn, and continue building a stronger Montgomery County together.
