The 52-2 District Court recently welcomed 4th graders from Clarkston Community Schools to learn about the justice system by conducting mock trials. Students played every role in the trials, including the judge, attorneys, and jurors. It was a wonderful learning experience.

The 52nd District Court honors Judge Michael Batchik, who passed away February 3, 2026 after a long and full life. For more than 25 years, he served as a dedicated member of the judiciary, most of that time at the 52-1 District Court in Novi and a few years prior to his 2004 retirement at 52-2 District Court. Judge Batchik served his community with dignity, fairness, and optimism. His legacy will be long remembered.
