Please avoid the area of Sheffield Circle between Bradford Lane and Coventry Drive (in the neighborhood near Meijer). Independence Fire Department is on the scene for an active gas leak from a broken underground gas line and the affected road has been shut down for safety.

Consumers Energy is on the scene. If you smell gas in the area, it may be from this scene. If you smell gas and are unsure of the source, do not hesitate to call 911.

This year, we decided to recreate the advertisement from the 1984 Ghostbusters film.

is an annual celebration of voices that brings awareness to the importance of free speech and accessible media for all.

Community Media Day was founded in Brooklyn, New York but is celebrated around the world by those who want to ensure that the media landscape remains inclusive for all producers and artists, across all forms of media.

Community Media Day is October 20, which occurs during Free Speech Week.
