Commerce has opened a small grants funding round to support planning and readiness activities for capital projects of nonprofit organizations. Eligible projects should be expected to be completed or shovel-ready within five years.

Licensed Washington nonprofits with a capital project in the planning, design or pre-construction phase are encouraged to apply.

• Phase one: Initial project summary due Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2026, by 10 a.m.
• Phase two: Final applications from selected phase one applicants due Thursday, Feb. 12 by 10 a.m.
