We are enjoying seeing the Honeyfest decorations going up around town this week! A reminder that the judging for this year’s Honeyfest Decorating Contest sponsored by the City of Clarkson will be Thursday, September 17th at 2:00 pm. The contest is open to all residents, businesses, and churches within the Clarkson City limits. Cash and non-cash prizes. No registration is required…all you have to do to be in the contest is just have your yard, porch, or storefront decorated. Today is National Honey Bee Day! As a certified Bee City USA, the City of Clarkson is commemorating the special observance with a proclamation celebrating this important day. 🐝🐝 are a virtual part of our ecosystem and economy. The 🍯 they produce is used to make a variety of products from food to medicine, skincare, cosmetics, shampoo, candles, and so much more. Clarkson fall soccer ⚽️ signups will start Monday, August 10th! 🥅 The Grayson County Youth Fall Soccer Season will begin on Saturday, September 12th at Clarkson City Park. Registration forms can be picked up at Clarkson City Hall anytime during regular business hours Monday-Friday. Forms can also be printed off of the City's website at https://www.cityofclarkson.com/parks-recreation and returned to Clarkson City Hall with payment. Registration will also be held at the William Walker Building at Clarkson City Park on Sunday, August 16th from 1:00 - 3:00 pm. Registration forms must be returned by Monday, September 7th.

The Fall Soccer Season will consist of 8 games and is scheduled to end on October 31st. All games will be on Saturday mornings (weather permitting). Ages 3-14 for both boys and girls. Registration costs for new players are $70 for one child, $130 for two children, and $185 for three children or more. For returning players (who played in the spring season), the cost is $60 per child. For more information, call or text Kevin Johnston at 270-528-1563.

Clarkson Fire & Rescue really knocked it out of the park with this year’s fundraising for the WHAS Crusade for Children! Between their roadblocks and benefit Truck & Tractor Pull they raised $22,291.42 for a great cause! We appreciate all their hard work to help support the children in our community. Thank you Clarkson Fire & Rescue! Thanks also to Clarkson VFW Post 12175 for helping support the cause!

The 73rd WHAS Crusade for Children concluded this past weekend with a tote board total of $6,235,132.67 raised from communities across Kentucky and Southern Indiana, officials have announced.
