Have you noticed the new banners in town to commemorate America 250?

The vibrant new banners are proudly sponsored by our local Grayson Springs Chapter, NSDAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) and were purchased through a partnership between the City of Clarkson and the DAR. The America 250 banners will remain up all summer long. As you drive along Highway 62 in the middle of town or are just out for a stroll, please take a moment to enjoy this patriotic tribute.

A huge thank you to the Daughters of the American Revolution for their sponsorship, local DAR member and artist Susan Thorpe for her design, and to Clarkson Public Works and the Grayson County Road Department for hanging the banners and the American flags and yellow ribbons on the poles in between them.

Snap a photo with the signs and tag us! Let's show our hometown pride as we celebrate the journey to 250 years of United States of America! 🇺🇸

Great news! After being offline recently for repairs the Clarkson tornado siren, located behind the Fire House next to City Hall, is now back in operation and with a fresh coat of red paint.

From Clarkson Fire & Rescue: Special thanks to Grayson County Jailer Jason Woolsey, as well as Wayne Baxter, for all the help getting the siren repaired. We would also like to thank Brian Sadler and his crew with WRECC for pulling the siren off the pole and resetting it for us.
