Goodbyes are never fun and we sure are going to miss this guy around the Office! It’s takes a very special person to be a victim’s advocate. You must be empathetic, strong, encouraging, friendly, and able to work with every kind of person who comes through our office doors. Johnny Joe was that guy for us and so much more. We are going to miss him like crazy…he’s left some big shoes to be filled! Thank you for the 24 years of service to the citizens of Harrison County ⚖️🥹

We would like to take a moment and remind EVERYONE that cyber bullying and/or harassment are crimes that can be enforced against both minors and adults!

Please be kind to one another! Show grace and compassion towards each other and know that if you instead choose to harass, intimidate or bully then you can be charged with a crime, which is always completely avoidable!

Spread the word…KINDNESS IS FREE and won’t bring you into the criminal justice arena.

Tomorrow we start a new era in the office, one that finds Jackie McGinnis only working part time…for 47 years she dedicated and shared her time, efforts, compassion and knowledge with each of us in the office and all of us in our community. To say she has been a public servant is an understatement. She has worked with 4 prosecutors, many assistant prosecutors and support staff and probably over 1000 law enforcement men and women. Somehow THANK YOU doesn’t seem like enough. We are all so happy for her on her retirement and so very grateful that she will still be with us - if only part time!
Thank you for everything Jackie…we love you!

Prosecuting Attorney Rachel Romano was a guest speaker this week at the AAA Drug Summit along with other local law enforcement leaders. There was a large law enforcement crowd in attendance and the conference was an educational success for all in attendance.
