The Salvation Army and Sheetz For the Kidz have stepped in to provide toys, clothing, and other essential items, making the season brighter for children across the country.

With the support of partners like Sheetz For the Kidz, The Salvation Army can provide holiday assistance to 112 children across Philippi, Weston, Buckhannon, Elkins, Bridgeport, and Clarksburg ages 13-18.

Spots are limited as we only take 16 children per Sheetz location.

Happy Grandparents Day!

We're sharing some special pictures from our Grandparents Snack earlier this month in our Head Start classrooms.

Grandparents play such an important role in the lives of their grandchildren. Their love, guidance, stories, and encouragement help shape who their grandchildren become and create memories that last a lifetime.

Thank you to all the grandparents who joined us and made this celebration so special.

We appreciate the wonderful influence you have on your grandchildren every day!

📚✨ What a special visit!

West Virginia author Jan Jones recently visited Clarksburg A to share her book, Super Helper to the Rescue, with the children. The children thoroughly enjoyed meeting Jan and listening to her read!

A big thank-you to Jan for inspiring children to discover the joy of books, reading, and helping others. Her visit was truly meaningful and left a wonderful impression on our young readers! 📖🌟

Third Week of School — Clarksburg Classroom B!

The children had a wonderful week! WV author Jan Jones visited to read Super Helper to the Rescue. The children enjoyed her visit so much that they spent the day choosing to be Super Helpers in the classroom! 🦸‍♀️📚

They also learned how sugary foods and drinks can affect their teeth. Using Coke and an egg, they saw how stains can be difficult to remove even with toothpaste after 48 hours. The children made the connection that taking care of their teeth is important! 🦷🥤
