In the past few days, Consul Pemberton has issued two Consular Decrees. The IX Decree (issued 10 June) re-establishes the Delveran system of awards, while the X Decree (issued today, 12 June) announces the Decennial Year and medal. The text for each can be found here:

These decrees are the first to be issued by Consul Pemberton, who is now serving his third term in the office, and the first to be issued by any Delveran Consul since 2018.

With 15 in attendance, the Decennial Celebration was a rousing success! Highlights included the grand entry of distinguished guest Oscar “Ogie” Brizendine, the inauguration of Consul Casey Pemberton and Vice-Consul Jordan Brizendine, speeches by prominent Delverans, the dedication of the Delveran Heritage Museum, a delicious meal, and several tests of martial skill and valor. Surely, this marks the beginning of a new Delveran decade as active, successful, and innovative as the last!

Citizens of Delvera, we have an election! The votes have been counted, and Casey Pemberton has been elected Consul, defeating Jordan Brizendine 6-4. Brizendine will serve alongside Pemberton as Vice-Consul. Congratulations, Mr. Pemberton!

Polls have opened in the 2023 Consular Election. All Delverans are encouraged to vote! This year's contest is between Jordan Brizendine and Casey Pemberton. These two last faced each other for the consulate in 2016.

Under the Decennial Constitution, the powers of the Consul have shifted to decidedly more ceremonial roles, though he will still be responsible for important tasks such as the census. The runner up will become Vice-Consul. The office of President has been eliminated along with the Chamber of Deputies for more streamlined governance as a constituent of Karnia-Ruthenia.

The winners will be inaugurated at the Decennial Celebration tomorrow in Avannia.
