Due to challenging weather and hazardous road conditions, Harrison County Government Offices and Harrison County Courts will be closed on Monday, January 26. ❄️🚧

We encourage residents, if possible, to remain at home, enjoy time with family, and limit travel. This will allow the West Virginia Department of Highways, municipalities, and public works crews the necessary time to continue improving road conditions and making travel safer for everyone.

All essential employees are required to report to work as scheduled, and on-call magistrates will be available for emergencies.

We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to all first responders and essential personnel who continue to work and respond to calls during these hazardous conditions. Your dedication and service to our community do not go unnoticed and are truly appreciated. ❤️🙏

Drum roll please: And now for the results you've all been waiting for...KIDS BALLOT!

For President: Mickey Mouse pulled away early in the evening and remained on top!

U.S. Senator: Superman narrowly defeated Barbie for U.S. Senator! During his victory speech Superman thanked Barbie for remaining positive throughout the campaign. No mudslinging here!

For Governor: Ginny slid right past Gekko to become the 1st ever Kids Governor!

For Favorite Ice Cream: Chocolate came out on top of this Sunday treat!

For Favorite Snack: Gold Fish swam right on by Skittles and Fruit Roll-ups onto victory!

For Favorite TV Show: Bluey won in a landslide!

For Sheriff: Batman is the winner! "THWAP" "BOOM" "POW"
Batman thanked the other candidates and stated he's very excited to work with all of them to clean up crime on our streets!

For Favorite Movie: Luca takes the winning spot over Moana 2 and Encanto!

For Favorite Color: Blue is the winner!

For Favorite Hobby: Video Games takes the prize, surprising absolutely no one at all!

For Favorite Food: Pizza takes the winning spot, closely followed by French Fries and Chicken Nuggets. This was a surprise upset! Most analysts predicted a sound victory for Chicken Nuggets.

To all the future leaders that took part in the voting: THANK YOU! You got involved and made sure your voices were heard. The outcome may not always be what you want but it's important to remember that another election is right around the corner. GO VOTE! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Today is Election Day and the polls will close at 7:30 p.m.

Upon closing we will begin to tabulate the results. We will start with Early Voting and Absentee results so you can expect those first. As precinct results return from throughout the county we will process in the order they arrive until all 65 precincts have been tabulated.

Early Voting has ended. Just over 11,700 voters cast a ballot during Early Voting in Harrison County WV! I want to give a huge THANK YOU to all of the poll workers as well as my Deputy Clerks for being second to none. To say they were professional, courteous and hard working would only scratch the surface. 🇺🇸

REMINDER: Harrison County Clerk's Office will be holding it's final Election training class tonight.
6p.m. located at the Harrison County Senior Citizens Center.

If you are interested in working on Election Day just give us a call at (304) 624-8622 to be placed on the list. You must attend training and be a duly registered voter of Harrison County WV.

Harrison County WV voters. We have 2 locations to vote early and we are OPEN today from 9-5! You will get in and out quicker if you happen to be in downtown City of Clarksburg, WV. Alternatively we are at the Meadowbrook Mall and things are running smoothly.
