Congratulations to the winners of the 2nd Annual AP Biology Survivor Competition!

Students from both AP Biology classes teamed up to compete in a series of exciting science-themed challenges, including Find That Plant, Zoo Riddles, Secret Dissection, Outbreak Investigation, Predator/Prey Race, and the Ecology Water Relay. Teams kicked off the competition by creating their own team names and designing unique flags to represent their groups.

The AP Biology Survivor Competition gives students a chance to celebrate the end of a year of hard work and dedication while having fun with science after completing the AP Biology exam. Great job to all participants for their creativity, teamwork, and enthusiasm!

Nestled in the hills of Summit.... 🎶

Except, sleeping next to the school we loved so well....

In our Engineering Design & Development Course, students have the opportunity to be creative!

The students did everything from getting input from the teacher, designing and modeling each individual piece, rastering or cutting them using the laser cutter, painting, assembling, and gluing.

They did an awesome job!

Check out Ms. Lavelle, Ms. Owens, Ms. Karpicki, and Ms. Blosser posing with their new sign!

Madalyn Mooers and Sarah Horsley recently completed the STEM Bridges Mentorship Program hosted by Valley View High School.

This program pairs students with mentors working in various STEM fields across engineering companies in Lackawanna County and throughout the state. This year's sessions specifically focused on Advancing Women in Engineering, alongside insightful discussions about AI, the shifting workforce, and how these technologies are changing the landscape of the STEM field.

Their teacher, Chris Sedon, states that "It was a fantastic experience for them."

An Abington Heights student won second runner-up at the American Legion's 2026 National Oratorical Contest this past weekend in Hillsdale, Michigan.

After winning the Pennsylvania State Championships earlier this year, Judah Donnelly went on to compete against 52 other contests from all across the country this past weekend. Judah took 3rd place and was awarded a $20,000 scholarship.

Each of these students took the stage with confidence, preparation, and a deep understanding of the Constitution, representing the very best of this program and the future of our nation.
