Hillside Park Please Visit!

Hillside Park is a public recreation area that spans 100 acres with rugged and accessible hiking and walking trails, a stocked lake, playing fields, dog park, memory garden, community garden and Hillside Community Center/Senior Center. Volunteers manage and program Hillside Park with community donations, grants, and annual municipal support from Clarks Green, Clarks Summit, Glenburn, south Abington Township and Waverly.

Come out tonight for the FINAL Friday Night Lights for the year. Starting next week the Abington Jr Comets and Abington Youth Soccer will be using the field on Friday nights. Lights on tonight until 9:30. Enjoy!

🚧 CONSTRUCTION SOON UNDERWAY 🚧
Construction to replace the concrete at the Lakeside Pavilion will start Thursday/Friday this week (9/3 - 9/4) and is anticipated to proceed through September.

PLEASE HONOR THE CONSTRUCTION FENCE and help us make sure children stay outside of it (if you see something, say something). This will NOT block off access to the new playground at the lake. Only the immediate area around the pavilion and the grass area between the parking lot and pavilion (see image).

BIG THANK YOU to Clarks Summit Borough (1/5 park owner) for allocating a portion of CDBG funds to this project as a handicapped improvement: fixing the differentially settled concrete slabs.

🎣 A huge thank-you to Peter Ray and the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission for hosting the Learn to Catfish events at Hillside Park!

We had a fantastic turnout and loved seeing participants of all ages learning new fishing skills. Even better, we’ve already spotted some familiar faces returning to the park to continue practicing what they learned!

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make these events such a success. We hope to see you back at the lake again soon! 🐟
