Last night our members did our annual walkthrough training and preplan at James Cole Elementary School. Taking the time to familiarize ourselves with the building and classroom layouts as well as training on the fire pump and sprinkler system allows us to be better prepared in the event of an emergency.

This afternoon at approximately 1:32pm our Department was dispatched to a grass fire in the 9000 block of West Newcastle Rd. In Clinton County. Upon arrival Our units found a large grassy area that was burning along multiple tree lines. Due to the extremely dry conditions the fire moved very quick. Thankfully with help from Madison Township Fire Department and Perry Twp Fire Dept, Inc with Brush trucks and tankers. The fire was marked under control at 2:26pm. The fire is believed to have been accidentally started from a discarded cigarette. Thankfully there was no loss of property and no injuries reported.

UPDATE: Power had been restored.

We are aware of a current power outage in Clarks Hill. The current estimated repair time is 2 hours however, it may be longer. If you are needing a place to stay warm during this time please message our department fb page and we will open our fire station.

Today I would like to thank a few of our members that took time out of their day to do our annual inventory of all medical supplies and tech kits. It’s this type of behind the scenes work that ensures we have the right supplies and can quickly find them in a moments notice. Last year our Department responded to 242 calls for service of which 161 were for medical.

Today we got to spread some Christmas joy by delivering gift baskets to families in the community! We enjoy having the opportunity to give back.

Thank you to all who helped today, the Clarks Hill Christian Church for their food basket donations and thank you Santa for making today extra special for the kids!!

This evening at approximately 7:16pm our department was dispatched to a structure fire on 900 West in Clinton County. First arriving units advised the fire was through the roof and everyone was out of the home. An aggressive interior attack was initiated and with help from Perry Twp Fire Dept, Inc and Madison Township Fire Department the fire was quickly brought under control and contained to the center of the home. We would like to thank both departments for their assistance. And we ask that you keep the family in your thoughts and prayers.

Nomination Requirements:
🎁 Family must live in Lauramie Township, Tippecanoe County, IN
🎁 Must have children in the household

All chosen families will be contacted privately.
