Strong thunderstorms in multiple broken lines will continue to move E-NE across southern portions of central Indiana through mid-evening. Some of the stronger storms will be capable of damaging winds in excess of 60 mph and minor flooding with locally heavy rainfall. Stay tuned for future updates and any possible warnings.

Showers and scattered thunderstorms will continue to develop and move through the area into the afternoon. Stronger storms may produce wind gusts up to 40 mph and small hail. Any storm will be capable of producing brief heavy rain and cloud to ground lightning.

A line of strong to severe storms over Illinois will move east 45 mph into Central Indiana through mid afternoon. The primary hazard will be damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph. The line will move into the Indy Metro area between 3 and 4 pm.

A line of strong thunderstorms is nearing the state line with a history of widespread damaging winds and tornadoes. The line is expected to continue to produce damaging winds as it moves into Indiana with the potential for additional tornadoes. The line is then expected to gradually weaken as it moves further into the state.
