Who loves old sheep wagons? Who loves Hahns Peak, CO? This is an old family photo of my grandfather's sheep wagon in the 1920s in front of Hahns Peak. Returning to our Roots: The Pearl Lake Heritage Collection 🌲
It has been a little while since my last update, but I have been busy behind the scenes creating something very close to my heart.

As many of you know, my connection to Pearl Lake runs deep—it’s named after my grandmother, Pearl Hartt. To honor that history and the rugged beauty of the Hahn's Peak region, I am officially introducing the Pearl Lake Heritage Collection.

These are hand-cast, artisan pieces designed with a "high country" soul. Our first debut is Pioneer, the Pinecone Gnome (pictured here). With his pewter sleeves and mustard gloves, he’s a rustic departure from my brighter Colorado Flag series, designed to feel right at home in a mountain cabin or a shaded garden.

Happy birthday to my grandfather, John Kelly Hartt. He would be 155 years old today. See link below for more on the history of Wyoming and the role my grandfather played.

“It was said of John Hartt that he was put off the train at Rawlins because that was as far as his available money would take him. He settled down to amass a fortune . . . John’s winter range was on Sand Creek, Hiawatha, and Powder Springs west of Baggs, Wyoming. He summered on the Little Snake River and tributaries”

Happy 113 birthday to Aunt Marie Hartt Harrison. She was John Kelly and M Pearl Hartt's second oldest daughter. She was a member of the glee club in Rawlins and a spelling bee champ.

Marie lived in Denver when I was growing up in Estes. I savored her overnight visits. I remember the year I got one of those spiders that would move if you squeezed the attached bulb. I put that on her bed and waited until I saw her eyes open. Then, bam. She was such a good sport. Our connection was special, always.
