Elevated wildfire danger across the Inland Northwest could lead to a planned safety power shutoff for some Avista customers on Aug. 1.

We will be having training with our partner agencies Sam Owen Fire, Clark Fork Fire, BCEMS, BCSO, and Life Flight Network tonight at the Clark Fork High School. We will be landing life flight this is a training exercise. Feel free to observe from a distance but please do not enter the area for everyone's safety.

Thank you, everyone, for your patience while we worked with our fire and law enforcement partners to get information out to people and to assist those affected by the flooding.

We would like to give a special thank you to the Pantry for donating food for our responders.

So many more were involved, from neighbors helping neighbors to the utility companies, ITD, road and bridge any others not named. Thank you all for coming out and helping our community.

Spring creek road has washed out. It is closed.

Currently east spring creek is one lane but conditions could change. Be safe if driving the water was very high and made big ruts in the road. Crews are out checking on people who live out mountain view. Some spots the water is running too hard still.

East mountain view, mountain view, east spring creek, lighting creek at cascade creek residents the roads are flooded out please shelter in place.
