Often times people ask how we came up with the idea for the self service kayak rental. And here’s where It begin, at the Outer Banks. I rented Paddle boards to try out on the ocean and although it was fun, the rental process was a little cumbersome. I didn’t see any reason why it couldn’t be a self-service kiosk right on the beach. Which then I had to ask why the clarion river doesn’t have any way for anyone who doesn’t own a kayak or have a way to transport one, to go out on the clarion? So Gopaddle was born and we got to work! You can use it today, it will be open as long as the weather holds and the water temp is safe. Come on out and give us a try!
