The public library for Clarinda and the surrounding area was founded in 1905 and over the years has worked to meet the educational and cultural needs of the community.

Need an idea to Upcycled & Repurposed your grandmother's doilies? Then you'll want to register for this month's Create when we make a basket to add to your Easter decor or everyday display.

Doilies are easy to find, inexpensive, fun and easy to work with. We'll provide the materials. If you're willing to part with some of your inventory, bring them to the library.

Space is limited so registration is required. Register by going to our calendar or contact library.

Cpals- Clarinda Pathways to Access Literacy
"It is our mission to build a community that identifies literacy as a pathway to strengthen relationships with oneself and others."

With the donations for our classroom library initiative. The Clarinda Public Library Foundation and Cpals had another exciting day of delivering books to Noah's Ark Daycare.

We love seeing the excitement and curiosity when these kiddos see all the choices of books to explore.
