The Village of Clarendon Hills is a well-established, affluent west suburban Chicago community located in eastern DuPage County, just west of I-294 and Route 83 and just south of I-88 and Ogden Avenue. Originally planned in the 1870s and later incorporated in 1924, the Village is home to approximately 8,500 people and more than 80 businesses.It is not a surprise to anyone living in Clarendon Hills that in 2025 we were ranked #2 Best Place to live in DuPage County, #2 as the Best Suburb to Live in the Chicago Area, and #2 Best Place to Live in Illinois,. Updated: Only the pesdestrian mid block crossing east of Prospect will be closed! Vehicular traffic is not expected to be affected!

The Village of Clarendon Hills would like to notify residents that BNSF Railway is closing the midblock pedestrian crossing east Prospect Avenue railroad crossing for a rail tie replacement during the overnight hours.

Work begins Friday, Sept. 18, at 8pm, expected completion Saturday, Sept. 19, 9am
