How Clarence’s Founding Fathers Built a Town Out of the Wilderness, and Where They Lie Today
On National Constitution Day we will learn about how the men and women held town meetings, wrote laws, enforced the laws and turned a vast wilderness into a working farming community. Looking at old town records and meeting minutes helps to tell the story of how the town was established. As part of the 250 Commemoration, some of their gravestones had been found and cleaned. How did these people build our town and what can we do to continue the work they started.
