DATES FOR CMS OPEN HOUSE: SEPT 15 (7th/8th) and SEPT 24 (6th)
Dear Clarence Middle School Parents/Guardians:
We are excited to have you join us for Open House! Our format for each evening is a true “open house,” meaning families may attend anytime between 6:00–7:30 p.m. to walk through their student’s schedule. We encourage you to bring your student with you and ask that siblings remain at home.
When you arrive, please report first to your student’s Headquarters (homeroom), where you will receive directions and your student’s schedule. From there, the self-directed tour should take approximately one hour. You are welcome to walk the halls, visit classrooms, meet teachers, and experience your student’s day at your own pace.
7th/8th Grade Open House - September 15th
For this open house only, we have made arrangements with the Clarence Global Methodist Church across the street for overflow parking in their parking lot along the Strickler/east side of the building. Please do not park on the west side of the building.
6th Grade Open House - September 24th
A Note About Open House
The purpose of Open House is to give you a feel for your student’s day at CMS and an opportunity to meet their teachers and see their classrooms. Because teachers will be interacting with many families throughout the evening, Open House is not a time for individual conferences, discussions about student progress, or in-depth questions. If you have questions or concerns about your student, please reach out to their teacher or counselor by email or phone so that they can give your concerns the time and attention they deserve.
