🚗 Claremore is ready to welcome the HOT ROD Power Tour!

Tomorrow, an estimated 3,000–5,000 classic cars, hot rods and muscle cars are expected to travel through our community as part of the 2026 HOT ROD Power Tour, one of the world's largest rolling automotive events.

As we celebrate the Route 66 Centennial, we are proud to be a Route 66 community and honored to welcome visitors from across the country to experience Claremore's stretch of the Mother Road.

Join us in giving participants a warm Claremore welcome and showcasing the hospitality that makes our community special.

Reminder: The HOT ROD Power Tour rolls through Claremore tomorrow!

Between late morning and early afternoon, an estimated 3,000–5,000 vehicles are expected to cruise through our community.

As Claremore celebrates the Route 66 Centennial, this is a unique opportunity to experience the world's largest rolling automotive festival right here on Oklahoma's stretch of the Mother Road.

Whether you're a car enthusiast or simply looking for a unique experience, be sure to find a spot along the Mother Road and enjoy the show.

Throughout the week (June 9-12), crews will be working in portions of Claremore to inspect water meter pits as part of a cooperative effort with the EPA to identify and inventory water service line materials throughout the community.

This inspection is a simple process that involves opening water meter cans and examining service lines to determine their material type. Crews will not need access to homes or other private property and water service will not be interrupted.

The first area of focus will be the Original Town neighborhood, located east of Highway 66, north of Highway 20, and south of Blue Starr Drive. Claremore Water Department staff will be accompanying the inspection crews throughout the assessment.

Residents may notice crews working around water meters over the next several months as this project continues in different areas of the city.

In addition to responding to fires, medical emergencies and other incidents, the department offers CPR and First Aid classes, fire safety demonstrations, and specialized training opportunities.

The work of the Claremore Fire Department impacts residents every day, whether through emergency services or community outreach. We appreciate the department's continued service and the role it plays in supporting public safety throughout our community.

Power Outage Update ⚡

A tree was knocked down during this morning's storm, causing a power outage affecting customers in the areas surrounding NeMar, SafeNet, and locations south of Will Rogers Boulevard.

Claremore Power & Light crews have been dispatched and are actively working to restore service as quickly and safely as possible.

⚠️ As a reminder, please do not drive through standing water. Just a few inches of moving water can cause you to lose control of your vehicle. If you encounter water covering a roadway, turn around and find an alternate route.
