For many volunteer firefighters and EMS providers, serving their community comes on top of a full-time job, family, and everything else life brings.

Today, we recognize all of you who put in the work, both on and off the job, and still answer the call when your community needs you.

Rogers County is now under a burn ban due to extreme fire danger. The ban is effective immediately and will remain in place through September 15, unless lifted sooner.

Please do not burn brush, trash, grass, crops, or wildland, and do not build campfires or bonfires. Conditions are extremely dry, and it won’t take much for a fire to spread.

Please don’t burn. Help keep our community safe.

We wrapped up our HazMat Ops course this weekend. Our students and instructors alike braved the August temperatures to complete this essential training.

Lastly, we want to thank Mr. Daniel Nikora with TerraClear Land Prep (terraclearlandprep.com) for providing the sand needed for our course.

HazMat Ops is off and running! The next two weekends will be filled with a lot of valuable information learned by dedicated firefighters & police officers trying to be the best they can be, all being taught by the best instructors!

What do doctors, business owners, air traffic controllers, diesel technicians, small engine mechanics, hvac technicians, truck drivers, forklift operators, paramedics, career firefighters, robotic engineers, aviation maintenance technicians, semi-pro fishermen, & airplane pilots all have in common??

They all have a servants heart, at least the ones we know certainly do!
That’s right, they are all Tiawah Firefighters!

Thank you hardly seems enough!
Today, our friends Javion & Adrian from Anheuser-Busch, AB ONE OKLAHOMA, delivered a pallet of drinking water (over 2300 cans!) for our firefighters.
Since 2019, the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) has partnered with Anheuser-Busch, creating the Emergency Drinking Water for Wildland Firefighters program.
All of us here at Tiawah Fire Department simply cannot express enough our gratitude & appreciation for these amazing companies and organizations for their generosity!
