Rogers County Emergency Management is on scene off Lock and Dam Road assisting Inola Fire District with a structure fire. The home is reported as a total loss.

Mutual aid on scene:
• Oak Grove Fire Dept.
• Fair Oaks Fire Dept.
• Tri District Fire Dept.
• Tiawah Fire Dept.
• Pafford EMS
• Rogers County Sheriff’s Office

Crews are still working the fire and the cause is under investigation. Please avoid the area so responders can work safely.

🔥 BURN BAN IN EFFECT — ROGERS COUNTY 🔥

Effective immediately, the Rogers County Board of County Commissioners has declared a period of EXTREME FIRE DANGER. Resolution 2027-28 was passed and approved September 2, 2026, and runs through September 15, 2026, unless lifted sooner.

This is not a suggestion. It is enforceable state law.

While the ban is in place, it is UNLAWFUL to:
🚫 Set fire to any grass, brush, crops, or wildland
🚫 Build a campfire or bonfire
🚫 Burn trash or any material that could start a wildfire

Conditions right now — drought, no meaningful rain in the forecast, and fire activity well above normal for this time of year — mean one spark can get away fast. What starts in your burn barrel can be in your neighbor’s pasture in minutes.

Please don’t burn. Not today, not this week.

[6:35A - 8/22/26] We continue to closely monitor strong storms currently in central OK, just west of the forecast area. These storms may still drift into parts of E. OK (mainly west of Highway 75) over the next few hours. Heavy rainfall and gusty winds in excess of 50 mph will be possible.
