Claremore’s Vocal Music program offers performance-based classes for students beginning in 6th grade and continuing through high school.

At Will Rogers Junior High, students can join one of two concert choirs designed to meet a variety of skill levels, from beginner to advanced. Along the way, students learn the fundamentals of vocal music, including sight-reading, harmonizing, and even singing in foreign languages, while discovering just how fun and engaging choir can be.

As students move on to Claremore High School, they continue refining their vocal skills and take on more challenging repertoire. Choir also provides exciting opportunities to travel and perform in new places, creating memorable experiences both on and off the stage.

We’re proud of our dedicated vocal students and the passion they bring to every performance! ✨

🎨🧱 Creativity taking shape in Mr. McClurg’s art class!

Students have been hard at work exploring the art of clay while learning about its origins and how it has been used throughout history. Using the classic pinch-pot technique, students crafted unique clay characters, then brought them to life with paint and added arms and legs.

From shaping to finishing touches, these young artists showed imagination, patience, and creativity every step of the way. We love seeing their clay creations come to life! 🦓✨

🧪🏅 Science Olympics in Mrs. Newbury’s Classroom!

Students in Mrs. Newbury’s classes at Claremore High School recently brought the excitement of the Olympics into their classroom with their very own Science Olympics!

Students teamed up to compete in a variety of fun, fast-paced science challenges that tested creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. From hands-on building contests to brain-teasing experiments, each event gave students the chance to think critically and collaborate with their teammates.

Along the way, students encouraged one another, celebrated successes, and showed great sportsmanship. While a few teams earned bragging rights, everyone walked away a champion in collaboration and learning! 🦓✨

🌾🏅 Claremore FFA showed up strong at the Rogers County Ag Olympics!

A few weeks ago, Claremore FFA had a great turnout at the Rogers County Ag Olympics, held at the Claremore Expo Center. Students participated in a variety of fun, agriculture-themed competitions that highlighted teamwork, skill, and a little friendly competition.

Events like the Ag Olympics bring students together to celebrate agriculture while building leadership, collaboration, and school spirit. We’re proud of our Claremore FFA members for representing their chapter so well! 🌟

Drama at Claremore High School is known for its fun, creative, and energetic atmosphere! Students explore the origins of theatre while developing skills in voice, movement, and characterisation.

Drama isn’t just about acting; it also gives students a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to bring a production to life. From performance to production, students gain valuable experience that benefits anyone pursuing a college major or career involving people.

Along the way, students build public speaking skills, confidence, and poise, tools that last a lifetime. It’s always exciting to see what these talented students bring to the stage, from quick-thinking improvisation to perfectly polished monologues! 👏✨

It’s Chef Ryan’s Birthday! 🎉

To celebrate the big day, Chef Ryan baked his mother’s famous chocolate cake to share with our high school students and it was a hit! While we love sharing recipes with you all, this one is a family treasure that Chef Ryan is keeping close to his heart.

Be sure to wish Chef Ryan a very happy birthday and thank him for making the day extra special for our students! 🎉🦓

🌀🎢 Marble Madness at Rogers State University!

Students had an exciting day of creativity and engineering during Marble Madness. Teams designed and built their own marble roller coasters using provided materials and a time limit, then presented their creations to judges while sharing the ideas behind their designs.

After all the hard work, it was time for the big test, watching the roller coasters in action! Students also had the opportunity to hear from an inspiring keynote speaker, making the day even more memorable.

What an awesome day full of innovation, teamwork, and fun! 🦓✨
