My name is Stephanie Medrano. This is a shot in the dark, but I wanted to reach out to you as I am currently working on a project here in Pomona, CA regarding the unaccompanied immigrant children. We are needing Youth Coordinators and Case Managers. Youth Coordinator positions start at $20/hr.! Thought college students looking for a supplemental income or a flexible job could find this info useful. This is a really meaningful project, and we are excited to have others join us. If you are able to, please spread the word. The flyer below has a QR code that is linked to the company's official Indeed account where the positions and job descriptions are available.

Thank you so much for your time!

Sincerely,
Stephanie Medrano

Thursday, Women’s Union, Pomona College, Noon Discussion
In the United States, the Caribbean is often regarded as an intensely homophobic space, too dangerous and hostile to welcome gay rights movements. Yet, the Caribbean is also home to emerging gay rights movements that protest anti-gay legislation, speak out against hateful lyrics in popular music, and remain a powerful force in the fight against HIV-AIDS as well as the particular medical needs of trans people. Celiany Rivera Velázquez and Carlos Rodríguez are a team of visual artists, sexual empowerment, activists, and filmmakers who have worked for years with the LGBTQ community in the Dominican Republic, Cuba, and Puerto Rico. They will discuss the state of contemporary LGBTQ activism in the Spanish-speaking Caribbean as well as their efforts to document the lives of LGBTQ people and their families.
This is a free event, open to the public.
