Looking ahead while serving today's customers. CHWD continuously evaluates infrastructure priorities, water system needs, operational costs, and regional water issues as part of its long-term planning efforts. This thoughtful approach helped support the Board of Directors’ decision to approve no rate increase for the remainder of 2026 and all of 2027.

"🎉 Celebrating a community milestone!

CHWD was proud to join the of Citrus Heights for the ribbon cutting celebrating the completion of the Auburn Boulevard Complete Streets Phase 2 Project.

As part of this major community improvement, CHWD replaced aging water mains along Auburn Boulevard while coordinating construction around the City's project to help reduce impacts to residents and businesses.

We’re proud to have played a role in this project and to celebrate the investment in a safer, more connected Auburn Boulevard. Congratulations to the City of Citrus Heights and everyone who helped bring this project across the finish line! 🍊💦

Today is Protect Your Groundwater Day!

Groundwater is an important part of our local water supply, especially during dry years. That’s why CHWD is investing in Aquifer Storage and Recovery (ASR) wells, an advanced type of well that can store treated water underground in our aquifer for future use when it’s needed.

Through ASR and long-term water planning, we’re strengthening our local water supply and building a more resilient water future. 🍊💧
