🚧 Overnight Road Closure🚧 SMUD will continue work on a substation upgrade project with overnight road closures tomorrow, Monday, June 15, from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Closed to through traffic:
❌Sunrise Blvd. between Sayonara Dr. and Sun Hill Dr.
❌Tall River Dr. at Sunrise Blvd.

Detours will be in place, and access will be limited to emergency vehicles only. Please plan ahead, follow posted signs and use alternate routes. Questions about the project? Contact SMUD at 1-888-742-SMUD (7683).

While Citrus Heights was sleeping, our crews were hard at work!🌙🚧 Overnight work is underway on Antelope Road and Oak Avenue as crews begin the process to smooth out the roadway surface, improving ride quality and creating a more uniform foundation for the upcoming resurfacing work.

🛣️You may notice fresh temporary striping! Oak Avenue's striping was removed, and since Antelope Road is a high-traffic corridor, striping is reinstalled almost immediately after grinding to help keep all road users safe.

🤔What's next? Profile grinding on Antelope Rd will continue through Monday night, followed by the first layer of roadway resurfacing beginning Tuesday night. Resurfacing of Oak Ave will begin Sunday night! This work is part of a multi-layer resurfacing process in which each layer requires time to cure before the next is placed, helping to create a smoother, longer-lasting roadway.

This month, the Citrus Heights Customer Service Guide focuses on organic waste recycling by highlighting what belongs in a green waste bin, such as food waste, food-soiled paper and yard trimmings.

This project will connect Sylvan Road to the Stock Ranch Nature Preserve and includes a paved multi-use trail, a new signalized crossing, trail lighting, landscaping, creek crossings and more.
