With colder temperatures on the way, we want to remind anyone currently on temporary water to please leave a small, steady trickle of water running inside your home.

This will help prevent the water lines from freezing and help keep your water service running during the cold weather.

Here is an update on the progress for the water project:



White’s Civil has completed all of Schedule 2 and is approximately 50% complete with the water main rehabilitation. For the next two weeks, they will be working in F Avenue between 8th Street and 10th Street replacing water main and service lines. Following that, the will move to 5th and 6th Streets to complete the rehab there. The project goal is to be done by November 1, but that may extend a week or two into November. Please note the asphalt paving restoration will be completed in the spring to allow the trenches to be well compacted over the winter.

White Civil put in nearly 2,300 feet of water main and services so far of about 4,500 feet, leaving about 2,200 feet remaining.

Water Project Update

Starting the afternoon of Monday September 28th

North Road will be closed to traffic entering town during the water project. Small vehicles can use the side road to get around the closure. Larger vehicles will need to find an alternate route into town.

G&G currently has two trucks down and is operating with a one-person crew today. Please be patient as they work to get everything taken care of.

Update on water project

For the next two weeks, construction crews are anticipating to be continuing work on Main Street and 8th Street between Avenue H and Avenue F, completing main line and service line installation and continuing with clean up and restoration of areas where main line has been replaced. We appreciate the patience of the Town residents as the Contractor works through the project.
