Thank you to everyone who made our annual Jack Davis Memorial Golf Tournament a success. Despite some testy weather, we had a great turnout of golfers, great support from our sponsors, and wonderful participation from our neighbors and business owners in our communities. Your contributions are most appreciated, since they allow us, in turn, to serve those in our community that most need our help, including the sight challenged, the needy, our young people who benefit from scholarships provided by our club, and other individuals and organizations who serve the community interest. We look forward to a bigger and even more successful event next year!

It is our sad duty to report the death of PRC Lion Leo Carr. Leo was a long time member of our club, serving as our Financial Secretary for many years. Leo was active throughout our community outside of Lions, serving as a Township Committeeman and various boards in Cinnaminson, as a parishioner at Sacred Heart Church, and as a member of the Tri-Boro Council of Churches. He taught social studies and history and served as Department Head for those subjects at Cinnaminson High School. Our sympathies go out to his wife, Nancy, and his daughters, Cathy, Susan, Patty, and Terry. Leo was predeceased by his son, Sean.

It is with great sadness that I announce last week's passing of our most senior Lion, Lou Koppenhoefer. "Koppy" was 98 years old at his passing, and had been a Lion since 1952. Until the recent illness that took his life, Lou was still a regular at our meetings and participated in many of our activities throughout the years. He served as President in 1969-70 and for many years as club historian. He was always full of good cheer, and was loved and admired by all of his fellow PRC Lions. He will be missed terribly. There will be a memorial service in early September set up by his family, and as soon as I receive the information, I will pass it along.
