Unit 3 responded mutual aid to Whitewater Township to assist with this HazMat call

Earlier today, emergency crews from multiple agencies responded to a hazardous materials incident at Kaplan Industries in Whitewater Township involving a leaking compressed gas cylinder. Due to the unknown nature of the product, nearby occupants were temporarily advised to shelter in place while crews worked to safely mitigate the situation.

Thanks to the coordinated efforts of all responding agencies, the incident was quickly brought under control without injuries to the public or responders.
