Our Chief Program Officer, Juwana Glover, traveled to Washington, D.C. this month in her role as Board Chair of the Ohio Domestic Violence Network (ODVN) to advocate for domestic violence and sexual assault survivors alongside ODVN, the Ohio Alliance to End Sexual Violence (OAESV), and coalition partners from across the country.
During the joint advocacy day hosted by the National Network to End Domestic Violence and the National Alliance to End Sexual Violence, advocates met with members of Congress and their staff to discuss federal funding priorities and the impact these investments have on survivors and families in Ohio and across the nation.
We are grateful to the offices of Rep. Shontel Brown, Rep. Troy Balderson Representative Marcy Kaptur, Joyce Beatty, Rep. Dave Joyce, Emilia Sykes, Rep. Mike Rulli, Mike Turner, Congressman Dave Taylor, and Senators Bernie Moreno and Jon Husted for taking the time to meet with advocates and hear directly about the needs of survivors in Ohio and across the country.
Together, we continue working toward a future where every survivor has access to safety, support, and the resources they need to thrive.
