How inspiring! Nancy and Lynn are in Voter Registration mode at Clifton Plaza tonight - asking folks if they're signed up, if they know or where they're voting, and answering questions about those tiny details involved with voting. Now's the time to do it because the students have returned and they're walking up and down Ludlow Avenue. Would you like to do this as well? If so, message us and we'll get you set up. We're not talking candidates or parties at this point - just trying to get more voters signed up and reminding folks who are registered that a very important election is right around the corner.

It was inspiring to see this gentleman walking up and down Ludlow Avenue earlier this week and signing up people to vote. Even with registered voters, this is a useful way to remind people that there is an election in November. His timing is perfect, as UC and Cincy State students returned this week. Clifton Democrats have also been active with Voter Registration, both signing up people to vote and answering questions for people who aren't sure about the details, like where to vote or how to vote if they're from out of state. The more people signing up voters, the merrier!

This interview that appeared in Vanity Fair addresses some of the issues that David Pepper discussed when he spoke at a Clifton Dems meeting a few months ago. It helps explain why there's a strong sense of urgency to November's election, and that's especially true in Ohio.

The former Ohio Democratic Party chair wants everyday Democrats to focus on their own backyards instead of just the woes of Washington. “The front line of the attack on democracy is not far from where you live,” he tells Vanity Fair ahead of the release of his forthcoming book, Saving Democracy.

Today is a first - the very first time that Clifton Dems (stilling their infancy) set up a Voter Registration Table at Clifton Plaza. The timing is perfect, as the college students are returning, and nudging them to even think about the election is a good idea. We'll also be able to help them figure out if they're registered to vote and if not what steps to take. We'll be here until 8 tonight and we'll be here tomorrow as well. Join us if you'd like!

Big news! From 6 to 8 tonight members of Clifton Dems will be on Clifton Plaza in a voter registration role. With the students coming back, we need to make sure that as many students as possible are signed up to vote. Many don't know the rules and don't know how to check if they're registered or have proper/current identification - lots of rules that we'll be prepared to answer. The QR code will help a lot in this endeavor. Come say hi if you in the neighborhood this evening!

Dear Democrat-Endorsed Judicial Candidates in Hamilton County,

The Clifton Area Democrats would like to invite all of you to attend our next Club meeting, which is scheduled for Thursday evening, August 27 at 7:00 PM at Ludlow Wines (343 Ludlow Ave) in Clifton.

Each judicial candidate who comes will receive approximately 3 minutes of floor time to introduce themselves and highlight the stakes in their race. After everyone has spoken, there will be time to mix and mingle with Club Members/Voters.

We anticipate that the opportunity to hear all Hamilton County judicial candidates at once will be quite popular with our members.

Allison Russo is right to highlight the importance of young voter turnout throughout the entire state, and Clifton is super important as it's a young community with a liberal mindset. That doesn't automatically translate into votes, however.
