Volunteer, Have Fun at July 4th Parade

Do you love a parade? Join the volunteer team of the Anderson Township Independence Day Parade to help make this year’s parade a wonderful day for Anderson residents.

Volunteers are needed for approximately four hours on the morning of the parade, Saturday, July 4, 2026. Duties could include crowd control security and registration. Explore Local Past at Township’s History Room

Anderson’s interesting history, from its birth in the late 1700s to historic structures still standing today, is on display in a dedicated space in Anderson Center. The Anderson Township History Room has is open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays, 9am to 6pm on weekends. A short video overview of the room may be found at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ztwO8J9zT8g.

Local artifacts and historical narratives tell the story of Anderson’s beginnings and recent past in displays and photos. The room is a joint effort of Anderson Township and the Anderson Township Historical Society.

513 Relief Bus Visits Anderson Township

A specialized bus in Hamilton County, called the 513Relief Bus, can help individuals with transportation, medical screenings and other community service needs.

The bus is visiting the Anderson Township Senior Center on from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 9. The center is at 7970 Beechmont Ave. and resources are available to all in the community.

Partial Sutton Road Closure Planned for May 27-June 3

As the Sutton Road Improvement Project continues, the Hamilton County Engineer’s Office announced the next portion of Sutton, between Eversole Road and Four Mile Road, will be closed from Wednesday, May 27, through Wednesday, June 3.

The closure will allow for pavement repairs and resurfacing in this section of roadway. The detour is Sutton Road to Salem Road, then to Eversole Road, then back to Sutton and vice versa.

Sutton Road, between Eversole Road and Kellogg Road, which is currently under construction, will REOPEN on May 27.

Despite the recent wet weather, the repaving work on Sutton is still on schedule for completion by late June.

Reminder: Anderson Township Has a Youth Curfew

Summer vacation is nearly here for the youth of our community, but a reminder that Individuals under the age of 18 are under curfew restrictions in Anderson Township from 12:01 a.m. to 5 a.m. These restrictions do not apply to individuals who are coming from a school function or work.

Memorial Day Remembrance at Anderson Center

Today, we stop and remember to be grateful for the sacrifices of men and women who have labored to keep us free!

Anderson Township honors its veterans and families of veterans today, May 25, at the annual Memorial Day Remembrance and Bell Ringing Ceremony. The event begins at noon at Anderson Center, 7850 Five Mile Road at the Anderson Township Veterans Memorial.

The speaker is retired Col. John Detling, a 30-year veteran of commissioned service to the Ohio Army National Guard where he now serves as chief of the joint staff.

If you would like your loved one’s name read during the service, please arrive at 11:45 a.m.to provide the information. This event is sponsored by Anderson Township Veterans Memorial Committee.
