Road Closure – White Oak Road

Pursuant to Section 5543. I 7 of the Ohio Revised Code, I have determined that a road closure is necessary on White Oak Road, as it is impractical to construct a temporary highway, culvert, or bridge. The closure is necessary for the contractor to install approximately 400′ of 12-inch sanitary sewer on White Oak Road.

The closure is located between address 1312 White Oak Road and SR 125. Lewis Road will not have access from White Oak Road and will need to be accessed from Grant Pass Lane. The road will be closed to through traffic, Weekdays Only beginning Tuesday, May 26, 2026, through Wednesday, June 3, 2026. The length of the detour is approximately 0.42 miles or 2,232 feet.

The Office of the Clermont County Engineer shall notify the Communication Center and other affected agencies. All advanced warning and detour signs will be erected and maintained for this project. Our crews will maintain the advanced warning signs. The contractor will be responsible for maintaining all other detour signs. Attached is the recommended detour.

Road Closure Notice - Jenny Lind Road

Attached is the detour map for the Jenny Lind Road utility work in Pierce Township. The closure is necessary for Duke Energy to complete scheduled utility upgrades. Jenny Lind Road will be closed to through traffic from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, and Thursday, May 14, 2026. The closure is located just south of Denny Drive on Jenny Lind Road. This will impact the West Clermont School District. The posted detour spans approximately 5.43 miles (28,668 feet). The contractor will be responsible for installing and maintaining all detour signs.

Road Closure - Oak Street / Jenny Lind Road

The closure is necessary for Duke Energy to complete scheduled utility upgrades. Oak Street/Jenny Lind Road will be closed to through traffic from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. The closure is located near the intersection of SR 125. This will impact the West Clermont School District. The posted detour spans approximately 0.533 miles (2,814 feet). The contractor will be responsible for installing and maintaining all detour signs.

Locust Corner Road is shut down near Behymer Road.
This is also impacting water service for residents along Locust Corner and Legendary Trails. Repairs are expected to take 4-5 hours.

The Pierce Township Service Department has an opening for a Full Time Maintenance Worker II/III to work within the Service Department.

The ideal candidate will have:

* Valid Ohio Driver’s License and an Ohio Commercial Driver’s License with a class A and with air brake endorsement or must obtain within six (6) months.
* High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Advanced training or associate degree in construction technology, turf management, carpentry, road maintenance or similar field preferred.
* Two (2) to Four (4) years’ experience in all areas related to building, and ground maintenance/repair or equivalent training.
* Effective both verbally and in writing.
* Willingness to work flexible hours as required.
* Willingness to plow snow in the winter.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Must have demonstrated skills in operation of the following, but not limited to, equipment:

* Some equipment operating experience
* Snow Removing Experience
* Operations of at least two pieces of equipment
* Cemetery Operations
* Concrete Experience
* Public Experience
* Blacktop Experience

This is a full-time hourly (non-exempt) position with competitive pay and a generous Township benefit package.
