"The general public looks at people out panhandling or asking for money and thinks that that's what homelessness looks like. That could not be more inaccurate," Finn said. "It is people with extensive work histories, it is families, it is young people. And I just think that if people understood who is really homeless, they might be inspired to help in some way."
As housing costs continue to rise and more families struggle to make ends meet, homelessness is becoming an increasingly urgent issue.
